Every year OpdagDanmark chooses the country's best campsites, and in 2023 the title of Funen's Best Campsite went to Marstal Camping on Ærø. But why was it this particular campsite that ran with the title? We have taken a closer look at that.

Behind Marstal Camping stands a dedicated family who chose to pursue a dream. Andreas, Mette and their children Alma, Rosa and Gustav left their safe surroundings in Roskilde to take over and transform this campsite into their take on a lovely place to camp. and MWith a combination of professional experience and a passion for hospitality, they have created a place where every guest feels incredibly comfortable, according to this review on Google:
"Well-maintained and well-run place with nice facilities. Not far from town and beach. Neighbor to dog forest so doggies' needs are also catered for. Was in a special area for small tents which had tables and benches and was close to the communal kitchen. Well thought out. The place gets my best recommendations."

This gives guests a unique opportunity to combine nature experiences with city life in one and the same holiday.

In addition to the fantastic location, Marstal Camping has also invested in facilities that ensure the guests' stay is comfortable and memorable. From a cozy café serving fresh barista coffee, to nice sanitary facilities and a lounge where guests can relax - everything has been thought of.
"We stayed in their incredibly beautiful and charming glamping cabin. Both the cabin and all the campsite's facilities were super clean, neat and well-maintained. There was everything the heart desires and not a finger to put a finger on it. Beautiful location, but a short walk to the sea. Rarely have we met such nice, welcoming, helpful and service-minded hosts! We will definitely come again. Can definitely be recommended!"
