Grenaa Strand Camping
Every year OpdagDanmark chooses the country's best campsites, and in 2023 the title of Central Jutland's Best Campsite went to Grenaa Strand Camping on Djursland. But what makes Grenaa Strand Camping a favorite among campers? We have taken a closer look at this below.

Experience and dedication
When we at OpdagDanmark hand out awards for Best Camping Site every year, we find that the winners are often relatively new owners who have brought lots of new energy and initiatives to the site.
However, you have to look hard for new owners at Grenaa Strand Camping, because the couple Michael Lip and Pernille Gleerup Andersen have run the campsite for 20 years and they have never stopped. The fact that the place is clean and neat is emphasized in many reviews and there is always something new happening. In 2023, there will be e.g. added camping cabins with outdoor spa.
A campsite with personality
A unique feature of Grenaa Strand Camping is the pervasive pirate theme, which you quickly encounter when you check in at the site. And then it's hard to miss the huge playground, which is built like a giant pirate ship. Implemented and certainly something that also excites the youngest members of the family.
Location, location, location
Location is an important factor in the Danes' choice of holiday destination, and here too Michael and Pernille's place is worth highlighting. The site is right down to the finest, white and very child-friendly sandy beach (see video above).
..and when you're not in the mood for the beach and forest, attractions such as Ree Safari Park, the Kattegat center and Djurs Sommerland, or a visit to small idyllic Ebeltoft and Grenå, are just a short drive away.

Although there is a wealth of experiences around the campsite, you can easily be on holiday for a whole week without leaving the site. This is evidenced by the 5 stars that Grenå Strand Camping was upgraded to in 2023, and the multitude of facilities you will find on the site. We mention just a few of them:

Beautiful campsite
Really nice campsite for both children and adults. Close to forest and beach and a cozy town. Have been coming to you for 12 years and look forward to the start of the season every time.
