Superkilen

Tricolored multicultural place at Nørrebro

The Superkilen at Nørrebro is a public park, which aims to give the area a boost for inspiration for other cities and districts.

The area consists of three parts: the Black Market (or space), the Red Square and the Green Park, all of which contribute to activity, relaxation and creative expression.

The black market is painted in black with white stripes and invites for thoughtful relaxation, where you can, among other things, relax with a game of chess.

The Red Square is painted in crisp red hues and is dedicated to physical activities such as outdoor fitness and team sports.

The Green Park is landscaped with playground, hills and picnic areas.

The super wedge is in many ways an area dedicated to the citizens, which is why they are naturally also included in the design. The local population of Nørrebro comes from a total of 57 cultural backgrounds, which is reflected in the Superkilen, which contains 57 different objects from 57 different countries. For example, you will find benches from Brazil and a fountain from Morocco that help symbolize the area's ethnic diversity.
