Kacho Patisserie

Among Denmark's Best Bakeries 2023

Kacho Konditori in Fredericia is a paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth. The place was created by Kristian Bruun Wendel, who is part of Denmark's national pastry team.

Kristian's dream of opening his own patisserie came true when he opened Kacho, which offers a wide selection of high-class delicacies. The place appeared on our map of Denmark's best experiences when loyal customers voted Kristian's pastry shop as one of Denmark's Best Bakeries 2023.

The name "Kacho" is a combination of "cake" and "chocolate", which reflects the patisserie's focus on these two elements. Customers can enjoy everything from delicious cakes and petit fours to handmade chocolates and other sweets. Quality is paramount and only the best raw materials are used. The confectionery's chocolate, for example, is from the Swiss brand Felchlin, and Kacho is one of only five ambassadors for this brand in Denmark.

Kristian Bruun Wendel is known and recognized for his pastry work and good craftsmanship. He has previously participated in TV2's confectionery program "Sukkertoppen" in 2018, and one of the cakes he developed for the program can be found on the counter at Kacho Konditori. The patisserie also offers the opportunity to enjoy the cakes in their cozy lounge area together with a cup of coffee.

Kacho Konditori has gained great popularity in a short time and has become a regular stop for many who want to treat themselves or a loved one to something very special. With a focus on sustainability, the patisserie tries to minimize waste by not producing more than they can sell. This commitment to quality and sustainability has also led to Kristian being selected to deliver the dessert for the Queen's visit to Fredericia in 2023.

So if you haven't yet visited Kristian and Kacho, it's just a matter of getting there!

  1. Fantastic quality at cafe prices

The selection is a bit limited, but the quality is far above the usual baker level, and after all, it is art he makes. Forget about mass-produced products, Kacho is craftsmanship.

The prices roughly correspond to Cafe' prices (a cake costs DKK 48), so I see it as experiences in a special class at ordinary prices. The taste is always extremely rich and complex, regardless of what he dishes up. I probably eat cake from Kacho 2-3 times a month.

  2. Extraordinary quality

Simply fantastic pastry's and hot drinks, it's an excellent choice, if you want quality.

  3. Unsurpassed

Bought 4 different cakes - so we could all taste and judge. They were all SUPER amazing. Amazing mouthfuls and can only encourage people to go!

  4. Fantastic cake

Probably the best cakes I have ever tasted. Beautiful on the outside and enchanting on the inside.
If I could give 6 stars I would.

  5. Cozy and delicious cake
