  1. Lovely island

I love living at fejø have lived here since 25/6 2019. Lived at Nørrebro before. My family owned fejø holiday center which is closed now. I love living here with my girlfriend & friends/in-laws & my parents-in-law who live permanently on the island. Work at fejø school & children's home where I clean four days a week. It's beautiful here in the summer

  2. Beautiful and welcoming island

Fejø is a beautiful and vibrant island - here there are apple trees in bloom, fences with mirabelle trees, deer that wander undisturbed, but above all welcoming and friendly islanders who ALWAYS greet and talk about their island with pride.

  3. Amazing place

Fejø is one of the nicest islands in the world that I've ever visited.

The people from hideaway vineyard are also amazing!

  4. My lovely summer adventure

I came to Fejø for the first time on St. Hans evening in 2022. I didn't know anyone beforehand. I had probably read about Fejø, but now I was alone in something new and unknown. It just doesn't last long on Fejø! Here you are quickly drawn into the heat.

One of the first things you notice is that everyone walking along the road greets each other. You feel seen and welcomed. The islanders, who have a strong community among themselves, are also very open and welcoming. It was a long, beautiful and eventful St. Hans evening for the newly arrived Norwegian.

Although many on the island make a living from tourism, Fejø is by no means an ordinary tourist destination. Which means that you don't feel treated as a customer, but as a guest and a fellow human being, and with some luck, even as a friend. At Fejø you meet real people in a natural way, regardless of whether they run a tourist business or do something else. It is otherwise impressive how many nice places to eat, have a drink or have a coffee on the island, when you think about how small an island Fejø is in terms of population.

The only thing that is annoying about Fejø is the price of the ferry out there. But that price is worth paying when you consider the beautiful island and the nice people. On the other hand, the ferry is also something positive: The distance from the rest of the world helps to make the island community what it is: A strong and vibrant community where you like to let strangers in. And how nice it is as a guest to shut out the big world for a poor moment, and just enjoy the lovely island life!

Finally, a small warning: You may think that you only have to visit Fejø once in your life, but once you have, it is very difficult not to come back, again and again.

See you, dear friends at Fejø!

  5. A pearl of a South Sea island

Fejø is the coziest little island with greetings and warmth! Have eaten wonderful food at Fejø Nykro, drank lovely coffee with Anne in Café Dybvig and had wonderful wine at the Hideaway winery!
Fejø is always worth a visit

  6. We loved our day at Fejø, apples, decorations and island atmosphere everywhere.
Fejø - the island of the apple, we'll be back

  7. Fejø, a "southern European" melting pot

I remember when we came to Fejø for the first time. We were so excited about Fejø that we bought a summer house there. We were so captivated by how picturesque Fejø was, how beautiful it is everywhere. But what we have gradually become most happy about has been people's enthusiasm and temperament. On Fejø you will find a melting pot with people from many different countries, and a human warmth that is "southern European". It seethes with life and with entrepreneurship; of meeting places and experiences. Cafes, restaurants and a vibrant cultural life. I understand that Fejø was voted Village of the Year a few years ago; there is a reason for that.

  8. Fejø is wonderful

Fejø is a wonderful place, full of wonderful people and surroundings. Fejø is worth a visit!
    10/10

  9. Fejø IS the pearl of the South Seas!

We fell head over heels for Fejø in 2014, before "staycation" took hold - and have been happy with the island ever since!
In the off-season we enjoy the unspoilt charm, the opportunity to chat at the grocer - in the summer we enjoy the hustle and bustle of the queue, where we meet new people.
Fejø offers a number of activities that we also take advantage of - the restaurants are clearly a huge advantage and in nature you can enjoy your own company.
The street stalls offer local, fresh fruit and vegetables - there is also the opportunity to secure a good steak or sausage from Hans Jørgen, and the hospitality is great everywhere on the island.
You should respect the good custom of "local greeting duty" - you arrive in a good mood and enjoy the green areas, where Dybvig is a little pearl and the island has several wine growers who make a big effort!
We will continue to visit Fejø - albeit far too rarely - but we will come!

  10. Magnificent Fejø...for peace and contemplation

I have had several unique and beautiful experiences on Fejø...when I have come sailing to the island with my boat.
It is a beautiful island, with lovely beaches, lovely locals who always say hello.
You can buy the most delicious beef, out by the Plains...not to mention the apple juice...it tastes fantastic....I can only recommend this lovely Island...here it is really beautiful.

  11. A break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - my sanctuary

I have always loved coming to Fejø as my mother grew up on the island and I therefore have some family over there.

Fejø has always been my sanctuary. Love coming there, at all times of the year.

Enjoying the peace of winter when it is completely dark and people stay inside. I have always had my dog with me and it gives us good opportunities for long undisturbed walks by the water, to the church, and around other places on the island.

Always comes for apple day in the autumn holidays. I always thought it was so cozy with all the stalls down by the harbor and how people flock to buy applesauce, apples, apple pork etc.

In the spring and summer I enjoy the life that begins to come to Fejø. All the tourists that come.

Last year they had a good pizza at Fejø A pizza and had a good pasta dish at dybvig café, as well as a delicious dinner at the inn. On Fejø's Facebook page, what is on the menu is often posted.

I see Fejø as my sanctuary and enjoy spending time there, just with my dog and when I have visited my old grandfather. Have been away anywhere from 3 days to a week at a time 3-4 times a year.

The island can be quite "deserted" out of season, but I enjoy that part too. However, I know this is a matter of taste. So if you want to experience Fejø in its "prime time", you must visit it in the summer or on Apple Day in the autumn holidays.

Extra bonus. I love going for walks late in the winter months because there is so little light on the island that the starry sky seems completely magical and alive.

  12. Fejø is nice

Fejø is a gem for those looking for a real island atmosphere. There are no queues or souvenir stalls here. But there is plenty of green nature, the sea is omnipresent and the island offers Ro camping, but good coffee and nice people. Hideaway winery, where the atmosphere is almost southern and the wine is produced locally and sustainably. There is cider, must and fruit in the stalls and last but not least, a small charming marina, the old shipyard and a fine cafe which also serves hot dishes with a local focus. The island invites you to kayak and sub, hike and cycle.

  13. Beautiful Fejø

Love Fejø. In the summer there is life and yet peace. In winter there is peace. Nature, nice and friendly people. Time. And greeting duty.

NOTE: If you only want to go to "Tivoli, water park and clowns", then you have to go somewhere else.

  14. Fantastic Fejø

I have lived on Fejø for over 10 years - and work at Vingården, which is on the top of the island. Even when I'm on summer holiday - I want to stay at home on the island most of all!

    I love to visit:
RO Naturcamp – Favorite breakfast spot - for the island's best coffee and breakfast bread
Cafe Dybvig – Good Burgers and the finest view of the marina... I can sit here all day and just watch the boats come in.
Fejø Nykro - Lovely dinner in cozy surroundings - sweetest hosts
Fejø Mølle – Sunny days and layer cake!
Skovhaven – Exciting plants and really beautiful and edible garden.
Hideaway Winery - when I'm not at work, I take my guests over for lunch, a tour and delicious wine!

But there is also a summer wine bar – various open Ateliers and Exhibitions – A weekend with an outdoor cinema – presentations and lectures organized by volunteers – concerts and a music festival in July – a lot of fine roadside stalls with home-grown and homemade goods – farm shops and thrift stores – There is SO MUCH to experience. 🙂

I think the best thing is to cycle around the island, go for a walk on the beach, find one of the small paths out in nature - just enjoy the good weather and meet the nice people who say hello when they pass by.

  15. Closed Fejø - ass boring

Fejø is probably the most boring and bland Danish island I have visited so far. Nothing on the island was open. Neither lunch nor a cup of coffee can be bought. ALT was a closed offering on the last day of Kr. The skydiving holiday. The weather is ok.
In several places you could read that it was open, but it just wasn't. Will NEVER come to Fejø again and would advise against taking the short boat trip to the island.
