The Nature Village: Art and Nature in Harmony
The natural village in Thy is a project supported by the Nordea Foundation. This initiative will transform the area at Doverodde Købmandsgård into an activity-driven village, rich in nature and outdoor activities. The project aims to create a unique meeting place for outdoor life, nature, culture and nature formation, where associations, citizens and visitors can gather in a community surrounded by beautiful nature.
The nature village will contain facilities such as a nature workshop, kayak hotel, campfire cabins, an association house and tackle halls, all located close to the Statens Museum for Kunst Thy. This museum, which has an independent branch in the farm's large warehouse from 1854, will contribute with dissemination activities and an annual main exhibition. The project also includes an extensive restoration and new construction of facilities such as the warehouse and a welcome building.
