The romantic garden Sanderumgaard
The old romantic landscape garden is found adjacent to the manor Sanderumgaard in Odense, and is the first of its kind in Denmark & #8211; originally established in 1793-1828.
The garden is 15 ha, which offers beautiful scenery in the form of beautiful & #8216; islands & #8217; in the pristine forest, lawns and park, as well as romantic cottages & #8211; of which the cottages Tankefuld and Sommerlyst date back to the original establishment of the garden.
The current owners for many years had a dream of restoring the nearly 200-year-old manor garden and opening it to the public. They call the work a life project and therefore do not believe that they will ever be completed, but they have come a long way and in 2010 opened the garden to the public.
The romantic garden can be visited on your own from October 1 to April 1, after which it is also possible to take guided tours around the beautiful garden.
