La Rucola
La Rucola is a pizzaria in Elsinore that secured a place on our map when they won the title in early 2020 as Zealand's Best Pizza, and even got a nice 2nd place in the selection of Denmark's best pizza.
After the vote, we took the trip to Elsinore and northeastern Zealand to hand out the diploma and experience what makes this place so popular that as many as 859 had had their mobile phones in front of them to vote at the pizza place. Here we meet Abdullah Comert, who owns the place, which has existed since 2010.
Delicious Italian pizzas
At La Rucola you will find a wide selection of Italian pizzas. The most popular is Sapore d'Italia with tomato, mozzarella, ventricina, bresaola, parma ham, arugula and sherry tomatoes, which of course we should try.
The ingredients are fresh, the bottom is super crisp and the filling is carefully matched. All in all, a super delicious pizza that we can highly recommend!
Vegan pizzas
At La Rucola, they experience that more people are starting to demand vegan pizzas and to keep up with the times, and to be able to offer delicious dishes to everyone, you can therefore get vegan pizzas here. It is worth mentioning if you are looking for a place to eat in Elsinore with a menu that has vegan offerings.
La Rucola specialty: Nutella pizza!
One thing on the menu sticks out - and that is the nutella pizza! Whether this is the secret behind the success of our poll is not known, but it is popular at least if you ask Abdullah.
After trying the most popular pizza, there is unfortunately no room for a dessert pizza for OpdagDanmark's expatriates, but that only gives us a good reason to return to Elsinore and La Rucola!

Throughout Discover Denmark we found La Rucola which received the award as SjællandsBestste Pizza, and it should of course be tried
Definitely the best pizzas we've tasted for dd. Delicious crispy pizza and fresh produce, red wine sunset.
