At Abeline's farm, the busy everyday life is turned down, and you go back in time to when great-grandmother was a child. The pace is completely slowed down, and you get the opportunity to experience life by the North Sea 100 years ago in quiet and peaceful surroundings.

Play like when great grandmother was a child
There is plenty of opportunity for you to play like they did back then, with ten-ball, bobsleigh, and an entertaining treasure hunt, or try walking on stilts. This means there is plenty of entertainment for children and childlike souls.
About the farm
150 years ago, Abeline's farm was a beach marshal's farm, and over time several stranded sailors have spent the night at the farm. Over time, the stranded sailors were replaced by summer visitors from the city.
One of the ships that ran aground was the Elisabeth Rickmers in 1894. 19 sailors spent the night on the farm in that connection, and the nameplate from the ship can still be seen on Abeline's farm.
For many years you could see the sign on the farm's east facade above the gate, but today you can see it in the farm's barn. In the large living room you can also see a mahogany table that originates from Elisabeth Rickmers.
Who is Abeline?
Abeline came to the farm in 1890, where she married Laurids, whose family owned the farm.
Her father-in-law was a lifeguard, and when Elisabeth Rickmers ran aground, it was his job to house the sailors, but he also had to take the ship apart and sell the parts. He made a good profit from this, however, and in the same year he left the farm to Abeline and her husband Laurids.
In 1904, Abeline becomes a widow and is left with 5 children. Together, however, they run the farm together until Abeline's death in 1957.
