There are many exciting hiking routes on Funen - and probably some near you!
We have compiled an overview of the best hiking routes, so you can easily move out into the beautiful nature and get the best experiences.

Short walks (2 - 10 km)
2 km
Tranekær Castle Park
This hiking route is for you who know a little art mixed with nature! During the 2 km long walk, around Borgsø in Tranekær Castle Park, there are works of art by international artists, which make the walk - as short as it is - an exciting experience.
Would you like to be in the castle park a little longer:
Then you can satisfy your hunger and thirst in Herskabsstalden, which is designed as a café and restaurant.
3 km
Thurø Rev
The 3.5 km long hike at Thurø Rev is made up of several different beautiful nature areas. During the route, you will be taken through the beach meadow, the coast, the forest and all the way to Krumodden, which changes appearance every day - an extremely beautiful and quiet hike on the island of South Funen.
Do you know what they are saying?
According to local wandering history, the hawthorns are said to have been planted by Christian IV's mother-in-law.
5 km
Monnet
Come for a walk in the flat landscape on Monnet, where you can see the goal of the trip from the start.
The 5 km route is one of Denmark's largest and protected beach meadows, which is well visited by both waders and other cattle.
And did you know:
That due to the birds' breeding season, it is not possible to go the route from March 15 to June 15.
5 km
Nørresø
If you want to go on one of the more romantic trips, you can with good reason take the hike at Nørresø.
In its surroundings with old and romantic forests, and its many opportunities to enjoy the beautiful view of the water, the 5 km long hike creates the setting for a cozy atmosphere.
And what's very remarkable about the route:
Is that on the trip you meet Lucieø, who has a spring in the middle of the island - an absolutely beautiful sight.
6 km
Ristinge Klint and Halvø
At the westernmost tip of Langeland you will find the peninsula Ristinge. The 6 km hike starts at Ristinge beach, where you continue on the path up the local 30 meter high - and 2 km long - cliff, which was created during the ice age 19,000 years ago.
The trip is a true nature experience:
Not only is the view during the trip spectacular, you can also meet various landmarks and rich wildlife on the route.
2 km – 3 km – 11 km
Swanninge Bakker
Come on a trip in the Funen Alps. Here you can take a walk in the hilly natural landscape, make your way past the restaurateur's tower for star gazing and enjoy the view of Svanninge Bakker from the top of the tower.
And the tours offer more:
Both the yellow, red and black routes offer diverse nature, rich wildlife - including all of Denmark's reptiles - and if you take the short trip, you will pass by "Trolden Finn."
Medium-length trips (10 - 20 km)
12 km
Juniper Root Around
Right in the middle of the Kattegat and Odense Fjord you will find a particularly unique hike on Funen.
Why is the 12 km route so unique:
As one of the few places on Funen, the route is strongly influenced by heather and juniper bushes - a fantastic route where you are not only surrounded by all the greenery, but also the beach, gallow cattle and maybe a viper or two - who are more afraid of you , than you are for them!
15 km
Æbelø
You have to walk 1.5 km through the water to get here. But Æbelø is rich in unique history and nature and worth the 15 km long hike.
The route has been popular in recent years, so we recommend going on one of the guided tours with the Æbelø guides.
2 km – 3 km – 5 km – 6 km – 7 km – 8 km – 11 km – 12 km
The clover paths
The Kløverstieren is a nationwide concept, where several good walking routes have been created in the local areas, so you can get out and rediscover your hometown - or hire tourists in other cities. And there is probably one near you!
On Funen you will find 10 clover trails - in Bogense, Langefart, Middelfart, Munkebo, Nyborg, Otterup Skåstrup, Svanninge and Søndersø.

The archipelago path
The Øhavsstien hiking route is 220 km long and goes over Syd Funen to Tåsinge, Langeland and Ærø.
