The Silk Route
12km wonderful experience route at Silkebrogsøerne
The Silk Route is a 12 km long nature, culture and experience trail that encircles central Silkeborg. The route leads through beautiful nature, historical attractions and cultural gems.
The route has been developed in collaboration with the Danish Nature Agency, which is also responsible for improving the path and ensuring navigability.
When you go on the Silker Route, you get ample opportunity to experience a wide selection of all that Silkeborg, and the state forests around, have to offer. You come through a landscape that constantly changes from lake to forest, and then the route takes you past many of the city's major cultural institutions.
