Øster Skovgård Julehandel is for you who want to get Christmas fun in good time, and this also applies if that means you want to start as early as March. On 1 March, the Christmas shop opens here, and until 23 December.
Everything for Christmas
You can get control of baubles, lights and atmosphere, so visit Øster Skovgård and find everything you need for Christmas. You will find the forest farm 4 kilometers west of Herning. The store also offers candles in all colors and shapes, various Christmas decorations and arts and crafts, decoration materials and a Christmas cafe.
From farm to farm shop
In 1985, the family bought the farm on Snerlundvej, and within the first few years they had planted red spruce Christmas trees. Today, the family has approx. 250,000 Christmas trees of various ages. The majority is Norway spruce, which consists of approx. 85% of the Christmas trees and the remaining part is red spruce.
Over time, the idea of making a farm shop came, and the old stables were renovated, and today have become an indoor heated shop of approx. 500m2.
In addition, the farm has a large courtyard, filled with beautiful Christmas trees, spruce, pine cones, Advent wreaths, decorative greenery and much more. It helps to create a cozy atmosphere that is inviting for all age groups.
The Elf Path
Øster Skovgård Julehandel also has an exciting Nissesti that goes through the farm's Christmas tree forest. It is a pleasant trip for the whole family, where there is an opportunity to see gnomes in several guises.
The path is approx. 5-600 meters long, and every year new things are added to the path. Elf caves, elves and Santa Claus are some of the things you can see on the tour.
There are also various activities such as Santa bowling, which is one of the most popular activities.
Christmas cafe
At the end of your visit to Øster Skovgård Christmas Market, you can drop by their Christmas café, the coffee shop. Here there is Christmas music and Christmas cheer, with the opportunity to buy mulled wine, cocoa, coffee or tea, as well as take part in the apple slice buffet.
