History

The name Bramslev goes back to the migration period around 300-500, when the farm is believed to have been laid out. The original farmhouse was built in 1804.

In 1933, the hills in the area – Bramslev Bakker – were protected and opened to the public, where you can experience a unique Nordic fauna and flora, including some of Denmark's largest wild juniper bushes.

Since 1959, BramslevGaard has been run as a guest house. In 2016, a new extension was added with new party and conference rooms, an a la carte restaurant and wellness facilities. In 2017, the original farmhouse was restored in period manor style, and in 2018, the apartments on the left side of the farm were also renovated.

In January 2022, BramslevGaard was sold to the Kartz family, where the young couple Thera and Michael are now in the process of making their mark on the historic guesthouse.
