Privacy and confidentiality policy for OpdagDanmark's app for iOS and Android
OpdagDanmark ApS has developed the OpdagDanmark app for iOS and Android. THIS SERVICE is provided by OpdagDanmark ApS at no cost and is intended for use as is. The OpdagDanmark app uses a freemium business model, which means that most content is free, while other content is paid.
This page is used to inform visitors about our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information if someone decides to use our service.
Collection and use of information
The app uses third-party services that may collect information to identify you.
- Google Cloud Platform – server infrastructure and data storage
- Google Play Services – such as Google Maps for displaying experiences on a map
- One Signal – Used to send push notifications
- Sentry – Report bugs back to us so we can fix bugs
- Our own log data – Used e.g. for statistics on searches so that we can improve the experience of searching
We want to inform you that when you use our service, we collect data and information (via third-party products) on your phone in the event of an error in the app, called log data. This Log Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the App using our Service, time and date of use of the Service, and other statistics.
To show relevant results near you, our service uses your device's location. You must agree that our service may use your location before we can retrieve relevant location-based results. Your location is not shared with third parties but is stored on our servers in the EU. Your location data is not linked with personal information but is used for statistics and improving our service. If use of the device's location is not accepted, parts of our service will not work.
Location in the background
Our service also requests access to your location in the background. If this is accepted and you have allowed push notifications, our service will send tips and recommendations for places near you.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are usually used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites you visit and stored in your device's internal memory.
This service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services.

What is a cookie?
