At Emmerbølle Strand Camping there is a focus on sustainability and concrete steps are taken towards a greener future. The campsite has been approved in Camping Outdoor Denmark's certification scheme, Green Stay, which is based on the UN's Global Goals.
Energy consumption is reduced with heat pumps, solar cells and LED lighting. Water consumption is optimized with water savers, and biodiversity is strengthened through green areas and insect hotels. In addition, waste is sorted, materials are reused and food waste is minimised.
The ambition is to become a CO2-neutral campsite, and an effort is made to think sustainably in everything from electric car charging stations to Swan-labelled cleaning products.
