History of the VW Retro Museum

How it all started

Carsten, owner of VW & Retro Museum Ulfborg with his wife Sussi, grew up with a father who sold Volkswagens. At 16, he bought his first car – a gold-colored 1303 Big – and quickly learned the value of profit.

From garage to museum

Sussi's childhood memories of Sunday drives ignited a passion for retro effects. Her collection grew quickly, and soon the garage was full. In 2015, they opened the VW & Retro Museum – with a new hall, more cars and nostalgic exhibitions.

Since then, the museum has grown with more unique cars and donations. A visit here is a journey back to a time when charm and craftsmanship were in focus.
