Plain garden to Lushage
At the southern tip of Helgenæs, Sletterhage Lighthouse, the deep sea close to the coast and the rocky beach filled with anglers form the framework for a wonderful maritime experience in beautiful natural surroundings. Large container and cargo ships regularly pass by, only a few hundred meters away, on their way to Aarhus harbor.
The six-kilometer-long hiking route starts at Sletterhage Lighthouse, where from June to August you have the opportunity to enjoy the view of the sea and the landscape from the top. The route follows to start the beach, after which the route leads you to a path up the coastal cliff all the way up to the German Tower. From the top of the tower you have a beautiful view to Klæbjerg Overdrev and towards the Kattegat islands Hjelm, Vejrø, Samsø and Tunø.
The remaining part of the route takes you over Klæbjerg Overdrev, which consists of a beautiful hilly landscape with a view of Lushage. From here you pass the 49 meter high Lusklit, after which the route takes you back to Sletterhage Lighthouse past the German Tower.

- In the summer you may be lucky enough to see guinea pigs close to the shore
