Rødvig Kro & Badehotel is a historic and idyllic small beach hotel with own restaurant at Stevns on Zealand. The place came on our map of Denmark's best experiences when in 2020 they won our vote for Denmark's Best Beach Hotels. Rødvig Kro & Badehotel has again in 2022 won our vote as Denmark's Best Badehotel!

A cultural-historical place
Something special about Rødvig Kro & Badehotel is the history of the place. The inn has been royally privileged since 1844, and it is felt when you are here.
Here are many cozy nooks and crannies that exude stories from a bygone era. Eg. In one corner of the restaurant you will find an old cast iron tiled stove with old original tiles.

When you need to have the perfect beach hotel experience where you actually get in the water, it is essential that there is not too far down there.
With a stay at Rødvig Kro & Badehotel, you live almost right on the water's edge. Yes, the hotel even has its own jetty!
Unique location
In addition to enjoying a location right down to the water, you can also really enjoy the area at Rødvig Kro & Badehotel. You live with a view of Stevns Klint, which is a UNSECO World Heritage Site.
It is highly recommended to rent bicycles at the hotel and from there cycle to the cliff.
The restaurant
In the kitchen behind the historic inn, unpretentious and delicious food is prepared with local ingredients. You buy fish at the harbor in Rødvig and the vegetables from the area's local producers, depending on the season's supply.
Even drinks are largely sourced from the local area. Eg. you can get beer from Stevns Andelsbryggeri. All so that the quality of the food can match the view from the restaurant!
Looking at the many reviews online, the restaurant also scores high on the level of service.
It is open for lunch and dinner.
Stays, rooms and prices
The hotel has a total of 18 rooms, most of which overlook the Baltic Sea and Stevns. They are all decorated in their own way and are of different sizes. The smaller rooms provide the completely authentic beach hotel experience, but if it is important to you with a lot of space in the room, then book directly with the hotel. That way, you can avoid having to book one of the smaller rooms.
