OpdagDanmark's tips for Himmelbjerget
This "mountain" is among Denmark's highest points and offers a unique view of Søhøjlandet, but for us, the most amazing thing about this trip is that you can sail to the foot of Himmelbjerget via the Silkeborg lakes. We strongly recommend that you take the boat trip with Hjejlen, one of the oldest wheel steamers in the world, and walk the 15 minutes (just over 1 km) to the top of Himmelbjerget. This trip is what makes Himmelbjerget absolutely amazing.
If you run, we highly recommend you to join us Himmelbjerg racethat takes place every year.
