Feddet

Beautiful beach area full of nature experiences

Feddet is a beach grassland covering around 75 hectares, which includes many natural experiences. It is located in the bay Åkrog Bugt, just north of Helnæs.

The area consists of salt marshes, heathland and sandy beaches. In the northern part around the waterway are reed beds containing abundant birdlife. The southern part contains a hauling and drying place for local fishermen. The area is protected.

There is a large car park at the southern end of Feddet. From here, there is access to the beach, which is a popular destination in the summer. There is a public toilet in the car park, but this is closed during the winter. South-west of the toilet is ‘a dog forest’ – where dogs are allowed to run freely off their leashes, on the condition that their owners can call the dogs back to them at any time.
