Fanø: Nordby to Sønderho
Dunes, sandy beach, seashells and a rich bird life are just some of the experiences that await you on this hiking route. On the widest stretch, the beach is a full 500 meters wide, which in itself is a great experience. If you go outside the bathing season, you may be lucky enough to have the stand all to yourself.
This route is 15 km, and is therefore referred to as a full day trip. The route starts in Nordby, where you have the opportunity to park the car. From Norby Church you go west down to Vesterstrand, from here follow in the wide and unique beach to Sønderho. You can end the hike by visiting beautiful Sønderho Church.
The beach's winged guests change from season to season. In the summer you can experience daisies or grouse in small flocks, and through the autumn, winter and spring the beach damage is visiting. In early spring you may be lucky enough to meet a white wagtail.
