A little about Discover Denmark in the Lion's Den

Dear everyone

Thank you so much to all of you – users, followers, customers, partners, friends, family, etc. – who took the time to watch as OpdagDanmark participated in the final episode of Løvens Hule season 11. Thank you for your kind words and sweet comments.

We would like to add a few comments to our participation, which – SPOILER ALERT – did not end with an investment from the lions.

We may have been disappointed for a few hours after participating, but that's how it is when you participate in a TV show that's about winning an investment. Our goal was never to get an investment, but rather to spread the word about our project.

We were never set out to create AI-generated hiking routes worldwide, but rather to make a difference for Danish tourism - to break down municipal and destination boundaries and make tourist information and experiences in our beautiful country easily accessible in a digital age, especially so that we Danes as well as international guests can find our way to unique experiences more easily, while helping the industry - especially the smaller players - to make sales, marketing and guest service easier for guests.

It's okay that there wasn't a match with a lion. We didn't expect that either. Instead, we went home to North Jutland and signed an ownership agreement that secured DKK 2 million for 10% of our company. Not bad either.

This means that now and in the future, development has accelerated even more with the hiring of more people and a focus on making Denmark's many experiences more visible and accessible.

The day before the TV broadcast, we released a major update to the app, which has only become even smarter, faster and better at showing you experiences nearby – and of course also with AI integrated. 

Expect even more from us in the coming days. We hope you will join us on the journey by downloading the app, trying one of our hiking routes, setting up your business on the platform – or just using the website when you need inspiration for experiences around you.
