Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen

Every year, the world's best and most hyped breweries visit Copenhagen for what is probably the world's wildest beer festival.

Regardless of whether you are an inveterate beer geek or just find it exciting to taste something new, Beer Celebration Copenhagen is worth a visit, because you can taste some of the best that the beer world can offer, right in the middle of Copenhagen.

Roskilde festival

Roskilde Festival was first held back in 1971 and is now one of Europe's largest music festivals. For Roskilde Festival, you will be able to experience artists from both home and abroad, who visit the many stages on the festival site. Of course, the festival site also offers various camping or tent areas, so there is something for everyone.

Since 1972, it has been the case that the festival's profits go to cultural and humanitarian purposes all over the world, and you therefore even support a good cause by buying a ticket to Roskilde Festival. 

The festival lasts for 8 days, and you can both buy a partout ticket so that you can attend all the festival days, or just buy a ticket for a single day where your favorite arts go on stage!

Hundested Sand Sculpture Festival

Once a year, the most talented sand sculptors gather in Hundested. Here you will find the creation of some of the finest sand sculptures that you can go and experience!

If you are interested in the process of creating the beautiful works, then you can visit the harbor during the opening days, where the sculptors are well underway with carving and polishing.

Hundested Sand Sculpture Festival has both activities for young and old. Here is the opportunity to challenge your creativity with the creation of your very own sand sculpture, while there is treasure hunting, cozy areas with seating and a café with something good for the palate.

Distortion

Distortion is Copenhagen's largest street party and runs off the stack over 5 days this summer. Every year, about 100,000 music-loving people gather here in the streets around Nørrebro and Vesterbro. 

The street party is moved to new locations in the capital every day and ends up out on Refshaleøen, where Distortion Ø becomes the gathering point. Distortion Ø is Scandinavia's largest electronic music festival, and offers a fantastic party!

Copenhell

Copenhell is a rock festival and it takes place on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen. The event has been held since 2010 and is Denmark's largest Metal Festival. 

Every year, a number of talented rock and metal musicians are presented here, who perform on the 3 stages, which are of course named as Helvíti, Hades and Pandæmonium. Of course, the festival also includes beer tents, entertainment, art and much more - so here will be a wealth of experiences for those interested in rock and metal!

© Copenhagen Jazz Festival

Copenhagen Jazz Festival

The current edition of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival has been held since 1979, but the festival can actually be dated back to 1962. The event creates a space where the original jazz music is celebrated while new trends in the genre are allowed to unfold. 

During the festival, there will be more than 1200 concerts spread over 120 stages around the capital. 

If you love jazz, then Copenhagen Jazz Festival is just the event for you!

Music in Lejet

Musik i Lejet is a festival that was first held in 2009. It is held in Tisvildeleje in North Zealand and here you can experience trends in music on 3 different stages, and then there is also a focus on art and gastronomy in the form of exciting murals and delicious food.

If you want to come to a wonderful festival in the summer mood right by the stand, then Music in the Rent is just the thing for you!

Green Concert

Grøn Koncert is touring around Denmark, and will be visiting Amager in July. Here you can experience a wealth of different artists during the day, while of course there are stalls with food and drink!

All profits from the Green Concert go to the Muskelsvindfonden's work, and you thereby support a good cause when you buy your ticket to the event. 

Copenhagen Carnival

For the Copenhagen Carnival, Strøget in Copenhagen will be filled with samba rhythms and fantastic costumes. Here you will be able to experience some beautiful stage shows, children's carnival, drum workshops, dance lessons and stalls, both for the shopaholic and the hungry.

The annual folk festival has the largest samba procession in the Nordic countries, and there will be absolutely nothing missing when it comes to colorful costumes, live music and of course dance.

Copenhagen Light Festival

Every year, the Copenhagen Light Festival is held in Copenhagen, and this festival aims to light up the city during the dark winter months with sculptures, events, projections and much more, created by lighting designers, students, organizations and lighting artists. 

In the inner city there is a special route where most of the works can be seen, so here you can go for a wonderful walk and have a special experience in the winter darkness!

Copenhagen Art Week

Art Week was first held back in 2012 and is a festival that pays homage to contemporary art. Here, art lovers can come and experience and share their joy of art. The purpose of the event is to create a space for conversations about art and its value.

As an art enthusiast, you also get an exciting insight into contemporary art through various creative art meetings!

© Copenhagen Gin Festival

Copenhagen Gin Festival

You can experience the world's largest gin festival in Copenhagen, where more than 300 different kinds of gins and tonics will be represented.

Here you can take a walk around the approximately 40 different stands, where gin, tonics and various drinking equipment are sold.

Copenhagen Beer Week

If you absolutely love beer, and especially Danish-produced beers, then Copenhagen Beer week may be the perfect event for you. A multitude of Danish breweries gather here, and the event aims to focus on beer, its history and role in our culture.

The festival offers beer experiences at various restaurants, bars, museums and much more. There will also be a weekend where the breweries gather at Israels Plads in the capital, and here there will be plenty of opportunity to taste all the special beers from the various breweries.
