The aquarium in Storcenter Nord

The Aquarium in Storcenter Nord in Aarhus is home to Denmark's largest living coral reef aquarium. The Scout Museum

The Scout Museum in Aarhus is dedicated to preserving and communicating the history of the Scout movement. Aarhus Maritime Museum is a fascinating and free museum dedicated to the city's maritime history. Experience exhibitions that cover a wide range of topics from shipbuilding and navigation to the role of shipping in the city's development. Godsbanen in Aarhus

Godsbanen in Aarhus is a dynamic cultural center located in a former freight station. The center is a vibrant meeting place for art and culture, and offers a wide range of activities and events. Experience everything from art exhibitions and theater performances to workshops and concerts. Godsbanen also houses creative workshops, where artists and craftsmen work and exhibit their works. Take a walk up to the roof of the building for a fantastic view of the city of Aarhus. Summer vacation: The entire building is on summer vacation in weeks 28, 29 and 30 (Monday, July 8 - Sunday, July 28), but come by anyway. Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum in Aarhus offers an exciting journey through the diversity and development of nature. The museum has an extensive collection that includes everything from dinosaur fossils and stuffed animals to plants and minerals. The bike playground at Pier 3

The bicycle playground at Pier 3 in Aarhus is an exciting and challenging playground designed for cycling enthusiasts of all ages. With five different courses, the playground offers something for every taste and level, from beginners to more experienced riders. The courses include obstacles, hills and turns, which make cycling fun and educational. The playground is perfect for both leisure and training, and gives children and young people the opportunity to improve their cycling skills in a safe environment. You can find it on the waterfront, which also offers a beautiful view of Aarhus Bay. Practical information: Open between 8 am and 3 pm for schools and daycare centers Open to everyone after 3 pm. Kunsthal Aarhus Sculpture Park

Kunsthal Aarhus Sculpture Park is a sculpture park located around Kunsthal Aarhus. The park was established in 2017 and contains a number of impressive art installations from both Danish and international artists. Take an art walk in the park and be amazed and captivated by the many different works, which provide a unique opportunity to experience and sense art at all times of the day. Marselisborg Memorial Park

Marselisborg Mindepark is a beautiful and peaceful park in Aarhus, dedicated to commemorating the Danish soldiers who fell during the First World War. The park is known for its well-kept gardens, large lawns and impressive memorials. Enjoy a peaceful walk among the park's many trees and flower beds, or take a break at one of the many benches overlooking Aarhus Bay. Take a trip to Aarhus Theater

Visit Aarhus Theatre and have an experience you will never forget. There are performances for every taste at the theatre, and you can experience these pre-styles during the season, which runs from the beginning of September to mid-June. The building is almost an attraction in itself with its colorful and detailed facade, which invites you to good stories and dramatic stories. Our Lady Church

Our Lady Church in Aarhus is a historic church with a unique structure consisting of three churches in one. The church includes a crypt church from the 11th century, a monastery church from the 13th century and the current main church from the 15th century. The crypt church is one of Denmark's oldest stone churches, and the monastery church was originally part of a Dominican monastery. Our Lady Church is known for its beautiful Gothic architecture, impressive frescoes and peaceful atmosphere. The church is open to visitors and admission is free. Walk the Infinite Bridge

The popular excursion destination and artwork The Infinite Bridge is located at Varna and Ballehage Beach south of Aarhus. There are plenty of opportunities for activities at the artwork – you can pull on your swimsuit and jump into the water, enjoy the view of the sea, the forest and the beach or walk around and around in the eternal circle. Aarhus Cathedral

Aarhus Cathedral, also known as Sankt Clemens Kirke, is Denmark's longest and tallest church. The Gothic cathedral, dating from the 12th century, is dedicated to Saint Clement, the patron saint of sailors. The church is known for its impressive frescoes dating back to the Middle Ages, as well as its beautiful altarpiece created by Bernt Notke. The cathedral also houses Denmark's largest nave and an organ from 1730. Take a walk in Marselisborg Deer Park

On your tour of the Deer Park, you have the opportunity to get up close to deer, fallow deer and wild boar – you can even hand-feed the deer and fallow deer if you bring your own apples and carrots. Marselisborg Deer Park is a cozy respite in the city, which gives you the opportunity to get up close to nature and relax. The changing seasons and nature's eternal transformation mean that it is always a unique and beautiful experience to visit the park – no matter how many times you have been there before.

Kalø Castle ruin

Kalø Slotsruin is one of Denmark's most impressive medieval ruins, located on Djursland near Aarhus. The ruin originates from Kalø Slot, which was built in 1313 by King Erik Menved as a defense against rebellious Jutland peasants. You can take a scenic walk along the long rocky embankment that leads to the ruin, and explore the old walls and towers that still stand majestically on the site. Kalø Slotsruin offers a fantastic view of Kalø Vig and the surrounding landscapes, making it a popular excursion destination for both history buffs and nature lovers. The adventurous amusement park is located within walking distance of the city center in the beautiful Marselisborg Forest and offers a variety of rides and activities for both young and old – whether you are looking for fun, scary, challenging or wild experiences. Also note that you can experience a variety of concerts and events in the park throughout the year.

Explore the Greenhouses in the Botanical Garden

Get up close to nature in the Greenhouses in the Botanical Gardens in Aarhus – you can explore nature in the four climate zones found in the Greenhouses. The four climate zones offer a diverse plant life that you won't find in your backyard at home. On your trip to the Greenhouses, you can hear stories about the plants – and gain insight into how we humans have influenced nature over time and still do.

The Antiquities Museum

The Museum of Antiquities at Aarhus University is an exciting museum dedicated to the art and culture of antiquity. The museum houses an extensive collection of Greek, Roman and Egyptian objects, including sculptures, ceramics and coins. The exhibitions offer a unique insight into the ancient world and its significance for the present day. The Museum of Antiquities also arranges changing special exhibitions and events, which make every visit new and interesting. The museum is open Monday-Friday 12-16 and Saturday 10-13, and admission is free for all visitors. The museum is NOT open during the summer holidays from 1 July – and including Sunday 4 August.
Culture for young and old

Dock1

Dokk1 is Aarhus' central cultural center and library, located on the waterfront. The modern building is a vibrant gathering point, offering a wide range of activities and services. In addition to being a large library with an extensive selection of books, media and digital resources, Dokk1 also functions as a cultural center with many public events, including lectures, workshops and exhibitions. The site also offers a large playground for children, cafes and quiet areas for studying and relaxing.

Explore the Old Town in Aarhus and go back in time and experience how the living museum unfolds before your eyes. In the Old Town, the roof is taken all the way back to before the 20th century and up to the 1970s - You get an insight into how the Danes have lived through time.
