In the booklet "Skagen Badehotel on Grenen - Danmarks Healthcare Source" from 1912 the text reads:
"You get out of bed, go to the window and open it! The air from the sea flows in so fresh and salty that you can probably feel it on your tongue when you lick your mouth. "
The pamphlet did then, as TV 2's TV series does today - makes us dream of the uncomplicated life and well-being of the water. This is probably why you have come to this site as well. But where are the places where you can still experience the classic Danish beach holiday at a waterfront hotel? You can of course take one of the expensive ones, but the truth is that after TV 2's hit series took the country by storm, hotels have galore been stuffed a 'bath' in front of 'hotel' in name or description. You are missing Havgaarden. Vejby Strand, a cozy and homely bathing hotel where time is a bit stalled.

By no means, Mogens. There is room for everyone. We just need to get a nomination in the stage for this one before a bathing hotel comes on the list.
Rødvig bathing hotel is a cozy place to stay, even in winter.
The staff provide exceptional service in all respects and the food is extremely delicious without being flashy. I will be returning to the hotel with some friends as I have recommended the hotel so we look forward to 4 days in March.

Hotel Tannishus at Tversted is not on TV2's list of "The most beautiful bathing hotels in Denmark". The hotel has everything. Nice apartments, tennis court, swimming pool, great restaurant and close to the beach and the blue ice kiosks.
Ilse Made on Samsø, is a wonderful gem. The surroundings fill the guests with renewed energy and the food is heavenly. A stay at Ilse Made is a conditioner for body and soul. The hosts Kasper and Thomas provide comfort, with a service that is top notch.
Knudhule Badehotel gets my vote, they are the best!

Fredensborg Badehotel on Bornholm is the most beautiful place with delicious French food and a fantastic fish buffet
Munchs Hotel, Tornby Strand, 9850 Hirtshals.
If you have been there and experienced it, then you have no doubt.
Not the greatest luxury, but the greatest experience when it comes to bathing hotels!

I would like to set up Tannishus in Tversted.
It is a very nice building with lovely big holiday apartments.
Many overlooking the sea and the dune landscape and the lovely beach.
A fantastic fine restaurant with high gastronomy led by Åge.
We have come there many times and must again have an extended weekend stay in
week 12-2020 - Thursday to Sunday. There are opportunities for lovely walks.
The hotel is approx. 35 km. from Skagen.

The ball bathing hotel on Samsø gets my vote
I would like to nominate Marienlyst Badehotel in Helsingør. There is a completed summer and bath hotel atmosphere throughout the hotel. The hotel's beach spa is nothing short of fantastic. The hotel is located right on the beach and despite the modern luxury, the hotel emits from its historical foundation in the history of Denmark. I think it is the most beautiful spot in Denmark.

I will definitely vote for Strandhotellet Blokhus. The french fries-town of Blokhus has really been given a gem, which contrasts with all the trash that have always been in town. SO delicious facilities. Rooms, food, service, atmosphere - everything is just the best.
On the other hand, I do not understand at all that Løkken Badehotel scores so many votes .. You eat well, but that is also the best. The rooms aren't cozy and there is too much carnival just outside the door.
Price and quality are related.

Dyvig Badehotel is beautiful and quiet and in beautiful old design, Denmark's most beautiful sea side hotel with everything that belongs to it. I have been a guest of several occasions, Christmas party, several times eaten out there and once spent the night there. Simply the most beautiful location and I enjoy it every single time ..

Now called Skagenklit A / S. The place is without a restaurant, but has 20 fantastic apartments for rent / own only 100 meters from the beach and with sea views from most apartments.

The Danish islands with Bornholm and Samsø at the forefront are just fantastic.
Strandlyst on Samsø is our favorite - the food is fantastic and definitely White Guide level if they are going to visit and the hosts at Anette and Lasse are great people.
The small summer hotel and Ballen Badehotel are also worth a visit during the Danish summer.
